STUDIO QUALITY TIME BASE CORRECTOR

A high-resolution, low-noise, wide-bandwidth Time Base Corrector (TBC) that Gen-locks any two video sources for synchronous effects.  Includes dual-channel frame synchronization, colour-bar test pattern generators, dual-channel digital colour processing, full frame memory and still frame capability.  Used with an edit controller this TBC will let you produce true A/B rolls, wipes, dissolves and seamless cuts.  The CTB 530 also corrects the time-base error of any heterodyne VTR for broadcast teleproduction and synchronizes CATV broadcasts to encode the video signal's blanking region with head-end scrambling.

Also available in 19" rack-mount version.

The TBC-100 is a PCI card style time base corrector especially designed for video processing with your PC.  Most analogue camcorders do not produce stable synchronised signals, which can cause poor video imaging quality when capturing to your PC.  The TBC-100 corrects this problem by replacing all sync signals from the video source with new signals resulting in clear, crisp, clean video with no dropped frames.  This is a must for anyone who is editing their analogue video’s in a PC environment, particularly if you intend to create a new movie made up of both DV and analogue video; to eliminate noticeable changes in picture quality. Front Panel Controls:

1. POWER ON/OFF SWITCH
Turns main power to TBC-4000 on and off.

2. SOURCE SWITCHES
Selects one of four source channels A to D to adjust the level of color, contrast, brightness, etc. The source LED will light up when source is selected.

3. PATTERN SWITCH
The TBC-4000 can generate color bar test pattern on four source channels A to D. To generate a test pattern, press the Pattern key and hold it for 2 seconds. To remove test pattern, press the PATTERN switch again.

4. GEN-LOCK RESET SWITCH
If color in the video image appears to be incorrect when you first turn on the TBC-4000's power, press this switch and hold it for 2 seconds to rest Gen-Lock and correct the color.

5. STILL SWITCH
Pressing the switch "freezes" the source video image.

6. BYPASS SWITCH
Pressing this switch bypasses all color processing adjustments made to the source video image.

7. COLOR SWITCHES
(+ and -) adjust the Chroma level of the source video.

8. CONTRAST SWITCHES
(+ and -) adjust the Luminance level of the source video.

9. BRIGHTNESS SWITCHES
(+ and -) adjust the Black level of the source video.

10. TINT SWITCHES
(+ and -) adjust the Chroma Tint of the source video. (active only with the NTSC video system).

Note: The LED level indicators will light up as you make adjustments to color, contrast, brightness, and tint. These LEDs will go out in a few seconds after you have finished making adjustments.
