HIGH DEFINITION

Looks like HDMI people have finally got their act together and it's HDMI which will be the future for connecting High def to your TV. You may be aware that almost all Tv manufacturers ( Philips being the exception) messed up the High definition protocols so the best bet is to wait for the new batch of tv's that will be totally HD.

There have been 3 versions of HDMI too, the first carrying everything DVI carries + sound ( stereo audio left and right) HDMI 1 then proceeded this with 5.1 surround sound. Then HDMI 2 turned up with 7.1 surround. As ther has been so much confusion over HDMI, it may pay you to buy a cheap 5.1 surround sound system if you ahve not got the latest telivision sets.
